Drummer Mark Brzezicki joined Big Country in 1981 as part of the original line-up and continues the sound and spirit of the iconic Scottish rock band along with Simon Hough, Big Country’s vocalist for over a decade, Gil Allan, Big Country and Skids bassist, and Ken Nicol, from Steeleye Span and The Albion Band, on guitar.
Steeped in a stunning catalogue of songs such as ‘Fields of Fire’, ‘Chance’, ‘East of Eden’, ‘Look Away’, and signature song ‘In A Big Country’ along with massive albums The Seer, Steeltown, Peace In Our Time, and the triple-GRAMMY nominated The Crossing, Mark Brzezicki’s Big Country will perform the songs we know and love.
As well as being the foundation and backbone beat behind Big Country, Mark has held centre stage on the drum throne behind Eric Clapton, Midge Ure, The Cult, Procol Harum, Bruce Foxton, Pete Townshend, Roger Daltrey, and many more. He has performed beside Roger Taylor of Queen and Phil Collins of Genesis at the Prince’s Trust Concert.

The Assist are an indie/dance four-piece band from Walsall. Soaking their soaring indie anthems with emotive breakdowns; it’s this eclectic adventurism that has seen The Assist sell out venues across the UK as well as share the stage with Blossoms, The Twang, and Dylan John Thomas.
Second album Disconnections is another entry to the band’s commendable canon, who are most certainly in the Jack Grealish category of ‘assists’. Speaking of football, the band previously enjoyed a starring slot on the television show Soccer AM. They’ve graced big stages at festivals such as Reading & Leeds, TRANSMT, Y-NOT, and Isle of Wight. Their 2021 debut album Council-Pop entered the UK charts at no.21 and led to a top 10 independent album. You may have heard The Assist on BBC Radio 6 and Radio X where they have been praised by the likes of Tom Robinson, Steve Lamacq, and John Kennedy.
