White Rock Tots is a playful parent-and-toddler group introducing little ones to the joy of movement, music and performance in a relaxed and welcoming setting.

Led by Chloe Edwards-Wood, sessions explore singing, movement and simple drama through fun, guided activities designed especially for very young children. Tots are encouraged to move, listen, copy, explore and play, helping to develop rhythm, coordination, confidence and early social skills alongside their grown-ups.

Sessions are gentle, engaging and pressure-free, creating a positive first experience of creative activity while supporting interaction between children and adults. It’s a great way to build confidence, encourage imagination and enjoy quality creative time together.

After the session, families are welcome to relax in the café and enjoy a drink with a view in the Circle Bar ☕

Youth Theatre (8-19 years)

White Rock Youth Theatre

Saturdays (term time only): 9:30am – 1:15pm
Fees: £216 per 12-week term (£18 per week). Sibling discounts available.

White Rock Youth Theatre is an award-winning creative programme for young people aged 8–19, offering a supportive, inspiring space to create, perform and collaborate. Since 2009, WRYT has been led by professional theatre-makers, performers, musicians and filmmakers who are passionate about helping young people develop their skills, confidence and creative voice.

Across each term, members work with specialist tutors in acting, musical theatre, voice, dance and film, exploring everything from character and storytelling to choreography, songwriting and screen performance. You’ll collaborate with experienced theatre directors, West End performers, musicians, filmmakers and community artists, while being supported to discover where your strengths lie — whether that’s performing on stage, creating films, devising work, or working behind the scenes.

Each term has a clear creative focus and works towards a shared outcome, such as live performances, showcases on the White Rock stage, community events or film projects for festivals. There’s always something exciting and meaningful to work towards, giving you real experience of creative collaboration and performance.

Members are placed in age-appropriate groups so everyone can grow at their own pace, while still feeling part of a larger creative company. Terms usually end with a sharing or performance that families are invited to attend, and all WRYT members also have the opportunity to take part in the annual Creative Learning Showcase and wider community performances across Hastings.

WRYT is all about development, collaboration and inspiration, valuing young people’s ideas and encouraging creative ambition. We actively welcome feedback and collaboration from both students and families, helping the programme grow and evolve alongside the people who take part.

White Rock Tiddlers is the perfect first step into the world of theatre — building imagination, confidence and creativity through joyful, structured play. Groups are carefully structured to support early years development.

Tiddlers is a fun and friendly creative drama group where young children can play, imagine and explore through drama, movement and music.

Sessions are lively and full of games, stories and songs, giving children the chance to move, make noise, pretend and create together. In a relaxed and supportive environment, children build confidence, coordination and social skills while learning how to listen, take turns and work as part of a group.

Each term has a simple creative theme, helping children explore new ideas and enjoy discovering what they can do at their own pace. Every child is encouraged to join in in a way that feels right for them, keeping sessions positive, inclusive and pressure-free.

Terms often finish with a relaxed sharing or mini performance, where families are warmly invited to watch, celebrate and enjoy what the children have been creating together.
