Start time: 8pm | Studio

Gary Fletcher, Paul Jones, Dave Kelly, and Tom McGuinness formed The Blues Band back in 1979. They finally ‘parked the tour bus’ in 2022.

Gary has also appeared with and/or recorded with legendary acts like Peter Green, Maggie Bell, Van Morrison, John Mayall, Long John Baldry, Guy Barker, Bernie Marsden, Micky Moody, Kim Simmonds, Henry McCullough, Zoot Money, Nat Adderley, and the Memphis Horns.

His own individual work had run in parallel with The Blues Band for some years, so now was his opportunity to focus on his music along with the fine musicians who make up the GFB.

They are Alan Glen (Yardbirds, Nine Below Zero) harmonica; Tom Leary (Lindisfarne, Feast of Fiddles, Joe Brown) violin, mandolin; Andy Billups (The Hamsters) bass; Nick Ritchie (Canto, Mud) guitar, vocals; Sam Kelly (Tom Robinson, Circulus, The Blues Band) drums, vocals; Gary Fletcher (The Blues Band) vocals, guitar, banjo, slide.

Playing songs from The Blues Band’s repertoire such as ‘Greenstuff’ (written by Fletcher), ‘Maggie’s Farm’, ‘Flatfoot Sam’ alongside material from his own albums including the recent and critically acclaimed River Keeps Flowing album.

“If he appears locally to you...get along to see him as you are in for a night of supreme musicianship and a damn fine night of live music."

Jason Ritchie, Get Ready To Rock

"Believe me if you’re going to buy one album this year you won't better this one."

Pete Clack for Amazon, reviewing River Keeps Flowing

"One of this year’s finest albums, without a doubt."
