UK soul artist Omar MBE headlines this year’s Lets Get It Together Festival at the White Rock on the Spring Bank Holiday weekend.
The Brighter The Days Pre Album Launch Party features Omar Lye-Fook’s full live band as it marks his upcoming ninth studio album and his 40th year as a recording artist. Featuring new singles ‘Can We Go Out? and ‘On My Own’ (feat. Paul Weller, who Omar toured with in The Style Council). Following his set, Omar will be signing his new album.
Man Ray
Man Ray has shared the stage with UK heavyweights like Norman Jay, Judge Jules, Paul “Trouble” Anderson, Gilles Peterson, Patrick Forge, Soul II Soul, Trevor Nelson, and Brother Marco (Young Disciples). Spinning/playing a soulful selection and blend of house, funk & disco, jazz, hip-hop, Afrobeat, and Latin rhythms.
Alton Miller
Born in Chicago and raised in Detroit, Alton Miller is a DJ, producer, singer, and percussionist, whose musical roots are influenced by acts such as Stevie Wonder, Santana, Parliament-Funkadelic, and the lush arrangements of Philly Sound. Recognised as one of the pioneers in Detroit’s electronic music scene. His sets effortlessly weave together classic soul, deep house, and futuristic rhythms.
Boddhi Satva
Credited as the creator of “Ancestral Soul” Boddhi Satva is a visionary in the electronic music scene. Fusing deep electronic beats and the spiritual essence of traditional African rhythms. Founder of Offering Recordings – Boddhi is committed to pushing boundaries of what House music can be.
Lets Get It Together is an annual event which takes place on the last Bank Holiday weekend in May. Now in its 3rd year, the three day event is a celebration of dance music culture, such as Soul, Jazz-Funk, House Music, Afro House, Broken Beats, EDM and more, all set within Hastings & St Leonards-on-Sea.
Showcasing some of the very best local, national and international DJ’s within multiple venues, this year, Lets Get It Together have collaborated with The Courtyard, The Crypt, The Piper, The Rum Shed, and the White Rock Theatre.
Advance tickets will be available via the White Rock Theatre which can be exchanged for wristbands from the White Rock Box Office during the festival. There will also be DJs playing various sets at additional venues during the day including Super Nature, Collected Fiction, St Leonards Bar, The Nags Head and Dark Circles.
This event is in the main auditorium.
