Open audition the juvenile dance chorus
Auditions: Sunday 16 June 2019. 1.00pm – 4.30pm
We are looking for outstandingly talented girl dancers, who have reached minimum Grade 6 in either ballet or modern, to join the company as part of the Juvenile Dance Chorus in this year’s pantomime ALADDIN. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to work with a professional Choreographer and Director plus fully professional cast, musicians and production team.
Girls, aged 13 – 19 on 1 December 2019, must have excellent dance ability and outstanding stage presence.
All successful candidates will work also closely with the professional director, musical director and cast and the girls will have the opportunity to partner students from Laine Theatre Arts. Singing and drama experience is desirable but not essential.
Rehearsals start in October and will be held after school and at weekends until 2 December. Once the production has opened on 13 December, each team of Dancers (two teams in all) will perform twice on alternate days from 13 – 29 December, when the production closes (13 performances for the red team and 14 performances for the green team).
